Finding the perfect shape
Selecting a wedding dress begins with understanding the shape and type of wedding dress that best complements your figure. From an A-line gown to a sheath dress, each type complements a different body shape.
If you have already tried on some off-the-rack wedding dresses and have in mind the type of dress you would like to wear, then we can assist you with the design. If you haven’t tried on any, then we will simply guide you through the process. By starting with the shape of the dress, you lay the foundation for every other decision, such as looking at inspiration photos for the right kind of dress. This way, your dress can feel flattering and unmistakably “you”.
The role of fabrics and details
Fabric is the soul of a wedding dress. It shapes the way the gown drapes and moves, and the pattern of the lace fabric plays a huge part in how the dress looks on you. When going through fabrics, our experts guide you through lace fabric and lining options that best suit the style for your custom dress.
If you’re looking to make a non-traditional wedding dress, then we are also able to assist. Just show us your inspiration photos, if any, and we can go from there.

How long does it take to have a wedding dress tailored with Women’s Tailor Phuket?
The timeframe for making a wedding gown depends on the complexity of the design and how much detailing you require. The minimum time is 7 days, but many dress styles will take upwards of one month. We recommend contacting us to discuss your dress style as soon as you have one in mind.
How many fittings will I need?
Most dress styles require between two and four fittings. It depends entirely on the complexity of the gown. Each fitting allows us to perfect the details and check for comfort of movement. It’s an important part of the process and we recommend reaching out to us to discuss a schedule in advance if you are travelling from overseas.
How much does it cost to have a wedding dress tailored?
The cost of a wedding dress heavily depends on the amount of work required and the fabric needed. Our starting price is ฿12,000 but certain styles will easy cost several times more than the simplest of wedding dresses.
What style wedding dresses can you tailor?
We can tailor all sorts of wedding dress, whether you are looking at mermaid dress, an A-line dress, a ball gown or another style of wedding dress.
Can you help me design a wedding dress from scratch?
Yes. While some clients come in with the dress design they like and how they would like the design personalised, many clients also come in wanting to discuss design options to make one from scratch. We can help with the process.
Can you share examples of your previous work with me?
Absolutely. Please contact us and, if possible, let us know what style dress you are looking to make. We can share some photos of dresses that we have previously tailored for our clients.
